Rhinopias_Paddle-flap Scorpionfish_01

The strange Paddle-flap Scorpionfish, aka Rhinopias or Popeyed Scorpionfish, is a rare find. They have a very distinctive set of paddles or flaps above the eyes from which they obtain their name.They use their fins to walk slowly across the seabed or "hop" by pushing off with their pelvic and pectoral fins rather than swimming.
