Green Sea Turtle feeding on red algae in kelp forest
A handful of Pacific Green Sea Turtles have permanently settled in the waters off La Jolla Shores in California. They are living in an unprotected stretch of coastline, and are swimming in water that gets colder than the sea turtle’s typical habitat. The adults usually inhabit shallow lagoons, feeding mostly on various species of seagrass.
